Aesthetics for Women
Dr. Alan Durkin is Board Certified specifically in Plastic Surgery. He has been formally trained in the entire spectrum of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Unlike all other training programs and fellowships, formal training by organizations accredited by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is the finest training available. Dr. Durkin has successfully undertaken the most comprehensive training available for cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face, breast, and body. This dedication towards training and appropriate scope of care markedly separates our practice from all other specialties. Dr. Durkin’s SMAS Facelift is the most common procedure provided at Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery followed by Dr. Durkin’s proprietary breast augmentation that he developed himself that he calls, the “internal bra“.
Cosmetic Procedures for Men
Men can now maintain a youthful appearance without fear of appearing feminine. Breast reductions, tummy tucks, liposuctions, dermal fillers, BOTOX®, blepharoplasty (eyelid procedures), rhinoplasty procedures, neck lifts, and facelifts are all becoming more and more popular among men. Many of our male patients come to us expressing an interest in looking less tired. Male plastic surgery is one of the fastest growing segments of plastic surgery.
Aesthetics for Athletes
For athletes, form and function will always be a critical component of their success. We have a large following of professional athletes and fitness models at Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery, as we truly appreciate the degree of work your body form has required. Performance athletes and professional athletes commonly seek out niche plastic surgery services, and Ocean Drive Plastic Surgery offers tailored, personalized, support for the aesthetically minded athlete. Common services provided to professional athletes include breast augmentation, breast augmentation revision, gynecomastia surgery, calf implants, dermal filler therapy, acne and scar removal, skin care, and body contouring. We also offer advanced performance training at our sister facility, Ocean Drive Elite Physiques.
Injectables for facial rejuvenation has become mainstream. However, many people share the perception that injectables are interchangeable, and that they “all do the same thing”. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Currently, there are a multitude of FDA approved injectables available on the market , and they each have specific characteristics and specific uses. We will review injectables including facial fillers and neurotoxins in detail. For additional information you may want to read, “What makes dermal fillers different from one another?“, where we focus specifically on the differences between popular dermal fillers.
We offer a broad range of nonsurgical and noninvasive cosmetic procedures. Noninvasive cosmetic procedures can help to even out your skin tone, increase cell turnover, promote cell growth, remove unsightly brown spots and spider veins, remove unwanted hair growth, and stimulate collagen production to help your skin retain its softness and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Common procedures include light-based treatments to remove sunspots (e.g., Intense Pulsed Light, or IPL®), microdermabrasion, light chemical skin peels, microneedling, injectables, and ultrasound technology. Our noninvasive cosmetic procedures also include injectable dermal fillers that can plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, soften facial creases, and improve the appearance of wrinkles.
