What to Expect: The Neck Lift Process

Once your consultation is complete, you can generally expect the following from the process:

• Anesthesia: On the day of the surgery, you will receive anesthesia to ensure a pain-free experience. Options include local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.
• Incisions: Dr. Durkin will make strategically placed incisions, typically around the ears and possibly under the chin, to minimize visible scarring.
• Surgery: Excess fat may be removed or redistributed, the underlying muscles will be tightened, and the skin will be redraped and trimmed to create a smoother, firmer neck.
• Closure: Incisions are carefully closed with sutures, and the area may be bandaged to support the healing process.
• Recovery: You will be monitored in our recovery area before being allowed to go home. Detailed aftercare instructions will be provided to ensure a smooth recovery.
